Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator? Our Austin, Texas warehouse is seeking a skilled individual to join our logistics team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. You will operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack inventory, contributing directly to the productivity of our warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
- Transport goods to and from various departments within the warehouse, supporting logistics operations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and traffic regulations.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of loading docks and warehouse storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
