You’ll be the first point of contact for customers who need help installing, understanding, or troubleshooting our products — from wiring queries on switches and sockets to technical advice on lighting performance, product compatibility, and more.This role blends *technical problem-solving* with *exceptional customer service* and is perfect for someone who naturally enjoys helping people, explaining solutions clearly, and understanding how things work._*While technical expertise is important, full training will be provided on the Corston product range*_.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Technical Support*
* Provide expert telephone and email support to customers, installers, electricians, and trade clients.
* Troubleshoot product installation issues, including switches, sockets, lighting, and hardware.
* Explain technical specifications clearly, such as lighting illumination range, IP ratings, compatibility, wiring requirements, and dimmer functionality.
* Guide customers through installation steps in a safe, compliant, and user-friendly manner.
* Work with our Product Engineers to escalate complex queries or identify product improvements.
*Customer Experience*
* Deliver a best-in-class service, always maintaining Corston’s calm, consultative, and solutions-focused tone.
* Take overflow customer orders during busy periods, supporting the wider customer service team.
* Maintain accurate notes and logs of customer interactions in CRM systems.
* Follow up on open technical tickets to ensure timely resolution.
*Product Knowledge & Internal Support*
* Stay up to date on all Corston products and new launches.
* Provide feedback to Product, Engineering and Quality teams regarding recurring technical issues or customer insights.
* Support the creation of technical documentation, FAQs, training guides, and installation tips.
* Participate in cross-functional project work, such as showroom support or product testing.

* Natural technical aptitude with products, installations, or hardware.
* Confident telephone manner — calm, clear, and able to reassure customers.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach.
* Ability to translate technical information into simple, helpful explanations.
* Strong written communication for email support.
* Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple queries.
*Desirable*
* Previous technical support experience
* Experience in electrical products, lighting, hardware, or home renovation
* Experience in customer service or trade support
* French-speaking (for France role)
* Understanding of CRM systems
* Full training will be given — willingness to learn is key
