Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios. Able to titrate and maintain critical drips on the ICU patient, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects. Associate's Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred Current RN to practice in the state of KY Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually.
