We are seeking an organized and meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Des Moines, Iowa facility. This position is key to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is fundamental to our logistics operations. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to safety standards and wearing required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
