About
Richmond, Virginia needs a proficient Forklift Operator! We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to manage the movement of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of inventory, from receiving raw materials to shipping finished products. Your duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transporting materials to and from storage, and assisting with order picking and replenishment. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess a current forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and best practices. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport products between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures, including correct PPE usage.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Support overall logistics efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down, stand-up, and potentially reach forklifts.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining required PPE.
