We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our dynamic distribution center in Houston, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport inventory, and move materials to designated areas. Performing daily pre-operational checks on equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment are also key aspects of this role. Safety is paramount; therefore, adherence to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including proper lifting guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from storage locations and production areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proficiency with various forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, reach).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and logistics best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
