We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in efficiently moving products, managing inventory, and ensuring the timely loading and unloading of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong safety record, excellent operating skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial to our daily operations and contributes significantly to the seamless functioning of our supply chain. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment, complete with proper training and required PPE. Attention to detail and a dedication to operational excellence are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Safely load and unload trailers and containers.
- Organize inventory within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including adherence to lifting guidelines and the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Valid forklift certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and proficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and follow proper lifting techniques when needed.
- Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse workflows.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
