About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. This vital role ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and support other warehouse operations. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, the ability to operate machinery reliably, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment are crucial. This is a key position within our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload pallets and materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from various locations within the warehouse, including staging, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets, ensuring stability and proper storage.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways and proper storage.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Follow all Logistics procedures for material handling and inventory management.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, including order picking and packing.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts as required.
