About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient flow of goods within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is essential, requiring strict adherence to all operational procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, a valid forklift certification, and a keen understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other materials to designated areas.
- Stack and retrieve materials from warehouse racks.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE.
