Position Description Torque by Ryder is excited to announce openings for a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mobile Diesel and Auto Technician to support our Truck Fleet. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and have an immediate impact on servicing our fleet! Technician positions pay weekly. Hourly Pay: $43.00 per hour. Opportunity to earn additional monthly performance incentives. Schedule: Flexible 40-hour work week (weekend premiums apply), Tuesday-Saturday, starting at 2 PM. Fuel Card and Company Cell Phone provided. A mobile service vehicle will be provided for technicians. Ryder offers growth opportunities with additional training available. Apply today to discover why a career with Ryder is what you've been looking for! Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical Certification or Post-Secondary degree, preferred. Basic tools are required. Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, with skills in: Routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs. Three or more years of relevant work experience, preferred. Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred. Two years or more of experience with mechanical repairs on heavy duty and medium duty equipment. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated customer service skills. Responsibilities Engage with customers to facilitate maintenance and repairs. Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle repairs, including A/C, brakes, tires, and electrical systems. Conduct road tests to diagnose issues and ensure repair quality. Maintain accurate service records to meet corporate and legal standards. Act as a mentor and guide for junior technicians.
