We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, managing stock levels, and implementing effective inventory control procedures. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in maintaining optimal stock rotation, identifying discrepancies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to reconcile inventory records and resolve any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on reorder points and potential shortages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with the operations team to improve inventory processes.
- Assist in the training of new team members on inventory procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and the use of appropriate PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
