About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and transporting goods. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are paramount. You will perform daily inspections of your forklift and report any maintenance needs promptly. This role is critical to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that products are handled correctly and efficiently. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to all company safety regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent spatial awareness, be able to follow instructions precisely, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Occasional manual lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be required when not operating the forklift. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and regulations.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support the broader logistics team in various tasks.
- Perform manual lifting when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , such as safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics software is a plus.
