Provo, Utah is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our expanding logistics operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the precision and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular audits, managing stock levels, analyzing data, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage. This position demands strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics. We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of Safety, providing thorough training on protocols and the correct use of PPE. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse.
- Conduct frequent cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventories.
- Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS and other tracking tools.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast needs, optimize stock levels, and minimize carrying costs.
- Collaborate with procurement, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor warehouse organization and ensure efficient storage methods.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE by all personnel.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, accuracy, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Expertise in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 35 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of workplace Safety and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
