About
Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is looking for a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team! This role is absolutely critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse, supporting our extensive logistics operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be expertly maneuvering forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack a variety of materials and products. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to Safety, possess exceptional forklift operating skills, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks. You will be responsible for conducting daily safety checks on your equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and collaborating effectively with fellow team members to meet operational targets. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform moderate Lifting, and a sharp awareness of your surroundings to prevent accidents. Adherence to all company Safety policies and the consistent use of required PPE are non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport goods efficiently between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and protocols.
- Ensure proper handling and placement of all goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Utilize and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and proven operational experience.
- Previous experience working as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Good spatial reasoning and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
- Understanding of fundamental logistics concepts.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
