About
Our Chicago, Illinois location is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our overall logistics operations. You must have a strong understanding of Safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, and be adept at handling various types of forklifts. If you are reliable, safety-conscious, and possess excellent operating skills, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas according to warehouse layout.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Follow all traffic and operating rules within the warehouse environment.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE and following Safety guidelines.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
