We are seeking a motivated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all safety protocols. This position involves managing inventory, coordinating shipments and receipts, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will be responsible for implementing best practices in warehouse management and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Supervise and train warehouse associates, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse space.
- Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of goods.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
