We are a high volume, successful neurosurgery practice requiring dedication and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
*Position Summary*
We are seeking a cross-trained technologist who can perform Fluoroscopy in a Pain Management Suite and Diagnostic X-Ray Imaging. This individual will ensure patient safety, deliver high-quality imaging, and support physicians during procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.
This per diem position provides coverage for full-time technologists during time off. Our clinic operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and days needed will vary within this schedule.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Pain Management & Fluoroscopy*
* Operate C-arms and fluoroscopy equipment for interventional pain procedures.
* Select exposure factors and position patients to produce high-quality images.
* Prepare procedure rooms using aseptic technique and infection control standards.
* Document radiation duration, monitor badges, and maintain safety logs.
* Inspect and maintain protective equipment and imaging devices.
*X-Ray Imaging*
* Perform diagnostic X-rays as ordered by physicians.
* Ensure accurate patient positioning and image quality.
* Maintain imaging equipment and troubleshoot issues.
* Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
* Prepare equipment and examination rooms for procedures.
*General*
* Practice radiation safety for self, peers, and patients.
* Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
* Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, patients, and families.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
*Required Qualifications*
* Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
* State of Nevada Licensed Radiology Technician
* Minimum 1 year of operating room/procedure radiology experience.
* Current certification from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
* BLS Certification (within 3 months of hire).
* Ability to lift 50 lbs. and assist patients onto exam tables.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* High level of organization and attention to detail.
*Preferred Skills*
* Knowledge of anatomy/physiology and current radiology trends.
* Basic computer proficiency.
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
