Project Leadership & Collaboration
Project Autonomy: Independently manage and lead moderately complex data engineering projects, identifying technical gaps, proposing solutions, and taking ownership from conception to deployment with minimal direct supervision. Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements, proactively driving and leading technical discussions to define clear data architecture solutions. Operational Excellence: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure high performance and reliability. Understand and consider the cost implications associated with your technology choices and architectural designs. Process Management: Maintain clear and up-to-date project status in Jira and effectively communicate progress to Technical Project Managers and team leads.
Technical Guidance & Standards
Mentorship: Act as a technical leader and mentor to junior engineers. Provide guidance through code reviews, training, and sharing best practices to elevate the team's skills. Documentation & Governance: Champion and contribute to our documentation culture by creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation. Help establish and enforce data engineering best practices, including data security, privacy, and governance protocols.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics) or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines in a cloud environment. 5+ years of direct experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Proven expertise in writing highly optimized, efficient SQL and experience with complex data modeling. Strong domain expertise and proven data modeling experience in core ERP domains, such as Financial Operations (e.g., management accounting) or Franchise Management. Demonstrated experience working in big data environments and processing large volumes of data. A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.

Proactively drives discussions and technical direction within assigned projects. Mentorship & COE Adherence: Acts as a technical mentor and guide for junior resources on product-specific knowledge. Executes work in adherence with data engineering best practices and proactively guides others in adopting these standards.
