Future Duties and Responsibilities Play a key role in establishing and implementing migration patterns for the Data Lake Modernization project. Actively migrate use cases from on?premises SQL Server to Databricks. Use Databricks to ensure proper data lineage and sourcing to support regulatory reports for financial services clients. Collaborate with Product Management and business partners to understand use case requirements and reporting. Implement Axiom to finalize reporting on regulatory matters. Adhere to internal development best practices/lifecycle (e.g., testing, code reviews, CI/CD, documentation). Document and showcase feature designs/workflows. Participate in team meetings and discussions around product development. Stay up to date on industry latest trends and design patterns.
Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role
Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. 6+ years of development experience with Spark (PySpark), Python and SQL. Extensive knowledge building data pipelines. Hands?on experience with Databricks development. Experience in regulatory reporting (e.g., 2052A, CCAR) regulations. Hands?on experience implementing Axiom. Experience with scheduling and orchestration (e.g., Databricks Workflows, Airflow, Prefect, Control?M). Solid understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and design principles. Comfortable communicating with teams via showcases/demos.
Nice to Have
3+ years of experience with Git. 3+ years of experience with CI/CD (e.g., Azure Pipelines). Experience with streaming technologies, such as Kafka or Spark. Experience building applications on Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud experience (e.g., Azure, Google).
Compensation and Benefits
CGI anticipates accepting applications for this position through November 30, 2025. The reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $156,700.00.
