The Lead Matillion Data Engineer will design, develop, and deliver ETL pipelines to process healthcare data, ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-performance solutions with data consistency and quality. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring of junior engineers, while addressing issues related to ELT processes to maintain data integrity and alignment with business requirements. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions. Minimum 8+ years of experience in cloud-native data engineering. 35 years of experience with Snowflake, Azure, Matillion, and DBT ETL tools. Experience in data modeling for Data Warehouse in Snowflake. Hands-on experience in designing and developing ELT processes. At least 35 years of experience working in the healthcare payor domain, focusing on data governance, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare-related data processing. Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of ETL pipelines to process healthcare data. Ensure efficient, scalable, and high-performance solutions with data consistency and quality. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on data requirements. Mentor junior engineers and team members. Address and resolve issues related to ELT processes, ensuring minimal disruptions and maintaining data integrity. Collaborate with the client department to understand their data needs and provide solutions. Participate in the development, testing, and enhancement of data engineering processes. Skills
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Proven ability in data warehouse design and optimization. Deep understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data regulations. Qualification And Education
Advanced certifications in data engineering or related fields are desirable. Familiarity with other healthcare regulations and standards beyond HIPAA is a plus. Experience with other cloud platforms and ETL tools is optional. Experience in machine learning and AI applications in healthcare is optional.
