About
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Chicago, Illinois. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and managing a team of warehouse associates. Your duties will include coordinating shipping and receiving activities, optimizing inventory management, implementing and enforcing safety protocols, and driving productivity. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate a team. You will be instrumental in maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring all staff are trained on and comply with safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can contribute to the continuous improvement of our warehouse operations and foster a positive team dynamic.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Ensure efficient order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and manage stock levels.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.
- Ensure proper lifting techniques are followed by all staff.
