Join our growing logistics operation as a Material Handler in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory within the facility. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials and finished goods to designated warehouse locations.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and footwear.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or with similar equipment is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
