This vital role is responsible for managing the influx of goods into our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all receiving processes. You will be tasked with unloading shipments, verifying contents against documentation, inspecting for damage, and properly stocking received items. A meticulous approach and a strong understanding of logistics procedures are essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and manage the unloading process.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
- Inspect all incoming items for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in their designated warehouse locations.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with shipments to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a related warehouse role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and scanning equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Your commitment to safety is crucial. You will be provided with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and trained on all safety protocols to ensure a secure and efficient receiving process within our logistics operations.
