Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Sacramento, California. This role is vital for maintaining the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting production and shipping needs. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to perform physical tasks are essential. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and supplies.
  • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Pick and transport materials to various departments or workstations as required.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or discrepancies in inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Perform physical tasks involving significant Lifting and moving of materials.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of the warehouse logistics.
  • Follow established procedures for material handling to minimize damage and waste.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks regularly.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with different types of PPE and their proper use.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
