Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to minimize downtime.
- Perform general upkeep and cleaning of maintenance areas.
- Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electronics preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and experience with lifting techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting.
