A prominent logistics company in Baltimore, Maryland, is actively recruiting experienced Forklift Operators. This role is vital for managing the flow of goods within our distribution center. You will operate forklifts to safely and efficiently move, load, unload, and store a variety of materials. Upholding strict safety standards, adhering to all company policies, and consistently using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are non-negotiable aspects of this position. The successful candidate will possess excellent operational skills and a unwavering commitment to safety and operational integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Accurately pick, stage, and put away inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere rigorously to all safety regulations, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Perform occasional lifting tasks, typically up to 50 lbs, when required.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to a safe working culture.
