About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials from receiving to storage or production areas, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, is highly desirable. You will perform daily pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any mechanical issues immediately. This role requires consistent attention to safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any defects.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift certification. Proven experience as a forklift operator. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Excellent knowledge of safety procedures. Familiarity with material handling equipment. Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. A commitment to workplace safety is paramount.
