Seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Chicago, Illinois. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods through our logistics network. Your key duties will include managing staff performance, scheduling, training, and ensuring adherence to all company policies and safety procedures. You will play a critical role in optimizing warehouse layout, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy. This leadership position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. You will be involved in inventory management, shipping and receiving coordination, and ensuring that all team members utilize required PPE and follow safe work practices, including proper techniques for Lifting. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics principles is essential. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with logistics and management teams to meet operational goals.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to implement and enforce safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe Lifting practices. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing business needs. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
