In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary goal is to ensure the smooth flow of materials within our distribution center and to support various warehouse operations. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet operational demands. A valid forklift certification and experience are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Accurately record movement of materials and inventory data.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and stock placement.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Adhere to all logistics operational guidelines and performance standards.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, and occasional lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
