About
Seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our vibrant team in San Francisco, California. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for inbound shipments, responsible for verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received items. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and facilitating the seamless flow of goods through our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage.
- Communicate any discrepancies or damages to management and vendors.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with stocking and organizing received inventory within the warehouse.
- Support overall logistics and inventory control efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all operational procedures.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
