About
We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in our Columbus, Ohio distribution center. This role is critical to the seamless operation of our logistics network. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials, ensuring that products are moved, sorted, and staged efficiently. Your responsibilities will include operating warehouse equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding our high standards for safety and operational excellence. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and distribute incoming materials.
- Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counting.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a material handling or warehouse position is beneficial.
- Physical capability to handle consistent lifting of up to 55 pounds.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse machinery.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
