About
We are hiring an experienced Inventory Clerk for our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility. This role is central to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is fundamental to our logistics operations. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, assisting with physical inventories, and maintaining accurate inventory records within our WMS. Your work directly impacts our ability to fulfill orders efficiently and maintain optimal stock levels. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate data entry of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments.
- Maintain organized inventory records and storage locations.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team in achieving inventory accuracy goals.
- Identify and report any stock rotation or damage issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse best practices.
- Knowledge of PPE and warehouse safety procedures.
