Our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility is looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Your contribution is vital to ensuring the smooth flow of goods and supporting our overall supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials to ensure stability, safety, and efficient space utilization.
- Receive incoming materials and assist with put-away processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any necessary maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock management.
- Support overall warehouse efficiency and contribute to smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and/or experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow directions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to work.
- Knowledge of basic logistics principles.
