Job Summary:
Our San Jose, California location is looking for a Warehouse Technician to join our skilled operations team. This role involves maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics infrastructure. The Warehouse Technician will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and conduct safety inspections to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency. A strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of warehouse systems, and a commitment to safety are crucial. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, sorting machines).
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the work environment.
  • Ensure all equipment operates within established safety guidelines and efficiency standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Ensure proper inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with warehouse management to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to logistics operations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
