We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering receiving data into our inventory management system. You will work closely with vendors, drivers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and maintain optimal inventory levels. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our supply chain and requires a strong commitment to organization and process adherence. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and proper handling of materials. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. We expect all employees to wear appropriate PPE at all times while in designated areas. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect all incoming products for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and stage incoming goods for put-away.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
