Job Summary:
Are you a proactive leader ready to manage warehouse operations? Our Des Moines, Iowa facility is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily activities and ensure optimal efficiency. This vital role involves supervising warehouse staff, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel, including pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
  • Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
  • Resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between shifts and departments.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
  • Must be able to wear and utilize required PPE.
