Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management and organization.
- Pick and stage materials according to order requests and production schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics operation.
- Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
