Our logistics company in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and correct, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our outbound logistics operations. You will be interacting with various departments, including inventory and customer service, to ensure timely and correct delivery of goods. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Verify and document all outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Prepare shipping labels and manifests using warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup schedules and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records related to outgoing stock.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Ensure all shipping areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
