Job Summary:
We are actively recruiting a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics hub in Portland, Oregon. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, playing a key part in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, ensuring accuracy and speed. A strong focus on safety is non-negotiable, and you will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE . This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team in the heart of Portland’s distribution network. Proper handling and lifting of materials are critical aspects of this job.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move products and materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks and containers with efficiency and care.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure operational readiness and report any issues.
  • Follow all Safety regulations, warehouse protocols, and company policies.
  • Ensure the correct and consistent use of required PPE .
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
  • Apply proper Lifting techniques to handle various types of goods.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our Logistics operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:
  • Previous, verifiable experience operating forklifts.
  • Forklift certification is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
  • A keen awareness of warehouse Safety best practices.
  • Commitment to wearing and utilizing all assigned PPE .
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and Logistics principles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
