Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator seeking a challenging and rewarding position in Phoenix, Arizona? Our high-volume distribution center is looking for skilled professionals to join our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and transporting goods. Your expertise in forklift operation and commitment to safety are paramount to our daily operations. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong safety record, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. Experience with various types of forklifts and warehouse management systems is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Transport products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using scanners and other tracking systems.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including strict use of PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence in our logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and overtime.
