This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including receiving inbound goods, order picking and fulfillment, inventory management, and preparing shipments. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, requiring strict adherence to all safety guidelines, the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proficiency in safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders for shipment.
- Manage inventory levels through regular counts and data entry.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Prepare shipments for outgoing transport, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures diligently.
- Ensure the consistent use of required PPE, including safety glasses, vests, and gloves.
- Participate in team efforts to meet daily operational goals for logistics.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is advantageous.
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Understanding of logistics operations and warehouse flow.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, including safe lifting practices.
- Willingness to consistently wear and use mandated PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
