We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all warehouse equipment and infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub, directly impacting our ability to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, ensuring all tools and parts are properly stored.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of PPE .
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify and address equipment-related issues.
- Support ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and equipment management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
- Experience with Lifting equipment and basic understanding of Logistics processes is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety in all tasks.
