About
Our Durham, North Carolina facility is searching for skilled Forklift Operators to manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial part in receiving, stocking, and shipping operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our Logistics chain. This position demands a strong commitment to workplace Safety , operational excellence, and the ability to handle various material handling equipment with expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and transport materials.
- Load and unload pallets and shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Follow all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE , to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to achieve operational goals.
- This role requires physical coordination and may involve some manual Lifting of items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various forklift types and their safe operation.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
