About
Our dynamic warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility, ensuring a smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will operate various types of material handling equipment and play a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace organization. We are committed to a safe and productive work environment, and all employees are expected to strictly follow safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and possess strong operational skills in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged or misplaced materials.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operational efficiency.
- Perform tasks involving significant Lifting and physical exertion as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
