Your duties will encompass operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory management. This role is fundamental to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, requiring adherence to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The position involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of heavy items, so a good level of physical fitness is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials safely.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Follow all warehouse and logistics procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or forklift operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 pounds) regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Forklift driving test will be administered.
