We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility, supporting both receiving and shipping departments. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations and requires a keen understanding of warehouse processes and Safety. You will operate various types of material handling equipment to move goods efficiently and safely. A strong commitment to following procedures and maintaining a safe work environment is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Perform frequent Lifting of materials, sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Certified or experienced in operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
