Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, identifying, stocking, and preparing materials for distribution. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in this position. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, hard-working, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Identify, count, and inspect incoming materials, ensuring accuracy against shipping documents.
  • Transport materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and staging.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety procedures.
  • Perform regular equipment checks to ensure operational readiness and report any issues immediately.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding daily tasks and potential issues.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Ability to operate various warehouse machinery.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
