Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon! This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, etc.) to move products and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy.
  • Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-aways.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse workspace, free from obstructions.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all established logistics and warehousing procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards or operational issues to supervision immediately.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and achieve daily targets.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid forklift certification or license is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory flow.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
