Job Summary:
We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in San Antonio, Texas. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our facility. You will operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. A strong emphasis on safety, precise operation, and adherence to operational procedures is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate various types of forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and other items.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
  • Stack and arrange materials properly, ensuring stability and safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by updating system information as items are moved.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, which may include some manual lifting.
  • Understand and implement logistics best practices within the warehouse.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and diligent use of required PPE.
