We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where adherence to safety protocols is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Stack and stage materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and stability.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions and hazards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
